We are looking for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support invoicing, account adjustments, and billing-related customer service for a Long-term Contract position with a company based in Santa Barbara, California. This role will manage day-to-day billing activity, respond to invoice inquiries, and help maintain accurate financial records across customer accounts. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with billing platforms, investigating discrepancies, and coordinating with internal teams to keep contract terms and billing schedules aligned.Responsibilities:• Prepare and distribute customer invoices in line with contract timelines, pricing terms, and account requirements.• Monitor and resolve billing inquiries through the support queue, including updating invoice records, attaching purchase orders, and sending revised documentation when needed.• Oversee invoice submission and payment follow-up for public sector accounts, including school districts and government agencies, while managing portal-based billing processes.• Partner with renewals and revenue operations teams to research deal discrepancies and correct billing issues before they affect customers.• Review contracts and recurring billing setups to ensure account details remain accurate and consistent across active agreements.• Process approved credits, invoice reversals, and related billing adjustments in accordance with internal controls and authorization procedures.• Perform routine reconciliations within billing and financial systems to confirm transaction accuracy and maintain balanced records.• Evaluate refund requests by researching account history, validating supporting information, and helping reduce preventable revenue loss.
