Embedded Software EngineerThis job is with Encode, Inc a fully owned subsidiary of Lancesoft. Clearance: This role requires a secret clearance to start. The candidate will need to be open and able to increase clearance level to Top Secret when they start. If someone has an active TS, that's a huge plus. Job Location: Lexington, MA clearance: Secret clearance Virtual/Work from Home: Onsite roleRole requires hands-on real-world experience with the following:Architecting, benchmarking, designing, and programming software for physical control in C or C++ programming language for a hard real-time (time-deterministic, interrupt-driven, task-based, multi-threaded) environment using an RTOS such as real-time Linux, VxWorks, or XenomaiExperience developing in Linux environmentsIntegration and testing in a laboratory setting of all of the aboveScripting in Python or Matlab for the purpose of electronic testing and data analysisDesired skills:Firmware programming using VHDL or VerilogDigital design and schematic capture using Mentor Graphics toolsAnalog or power circuit designFamiliarity with laboratory instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, function generators, meters, logic analyzers, and frequency countersExperience with revision control systems such as gitExperience developing low level driversExperience with debuggers such as gdb, lldb, etc.Knowledge of communication and hardware protocols (e.g., UDP, TCP, UART, SPI, I2C, USB, PCIe, MIPI)Education: Bachelor's plus 2-5 years minimum experience, or MS plus 2 years minimum experience.
