ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM

Ready to win new business and maximize your earning potential? Join Ingenico and take ownership of growth across the U.S. retail and payments ecosystem. This is an opportunity to leverage your industry connections, close high-value enterprise deals, and directly impact revenue with competitive compensation and earning potential tied to your results.

As a Key Account Manager for our Retail Sales team, you will be responsible for expanding our presence across the retail ecosystem by identifying, pursuing, and closing high-value commercial opportunities. This is a growth-driven role for a commercially minded sales professional who thrives on prospecting, building executive-level relationships, navigating complex sales cycles, and consistently delivering results.

You will target enterprise retailers, strategic partners, developing relationships with key decision-makers and positioning Ingenico’s hardware, software, and payment solutions to address their business needs. While growing existing accounts is important, your primary focus will be creating new opportunities, acquiring customers, and expanding Ingenico’s market share.

The ideal candidate brings a strong network within retail technology, payments, or commerce, a consultative approach to enterprise selling, and the drive to take opportunities from initial outreach through negotiation and close. Success requires a proactive, competitive mindset and the ability to mobilize cross-functional teams to win business.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Drive new business: Identify, prospect, and close new enterprise retail, ISV, and strategic partner opportunities to grow revenue and market share.
  • Own the sales cycle: Lead opportunities from prospecting and discovery through solution positioning, negotiation, and contract close.
  • Build strategic relationships: Develop relationships with senior decision-makers across retail, technology, and payments while identifying opportunities to expand existing accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies: Create targeted account and territory plans, identify market opportunities, and maintain a strong pipeline to achieve sales targets.
  • Deliver consultative solutions: Understand customer challenges and position Ingenico’s payment and commerce solutions to deliver measurable business value.
  • Collaborate to win: Partner with Pre-Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, and other internal teams to develop compelling proposals and close complex deals.
  • Manage performance and market presence: Maintain accurate forecasts, report on pipeline progress, and represent Ingenico at customer meetings and industry events.

ABOUT YOUR SKILLS

  • Minimum of 7 years of outside sales experience, ideally in enterprise or strategic accounts, with a proven track record of acquiring new customers and closing business.
  • Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales targets through proactive prospecting, pipeline development, and new revenue generation.
  • Experience selling payments, fintech, POS hardware, retail technology, commerce solutions, or enterprise technology.
  • Strong executive relationship-building, consultative selling, negotiation, and complex deal-management skills.
  • Established relationships within the retail, ISV, or payments ecosystem are highly desirable.
  • Strategic and commercially minded, with the ability to independently identify opportunities and collaborate effectively across a matrixed organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or a related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
